Chris Dew grew up with a speech impediment that made him feel uncomfortable in his own skin.

His lack of hope and feeling of purposelessness lead Chris to start smoking weed when he was 15.

Not long after, he was shooting heroin on a consistent basis. When his dad died of a heart attack four years later, Chris blew through his $75,000 inheritance on drugs.

Chris was ready to give up on life, but his mom asked him to give life one more chance at a Florence rehab center. He was invited to a Christmas service at NewSpring by a fellow resident, and there he heard and understood the grace of God for the first time.

Then the speech impediment he'd struggled with his whole life began to give way to a boldness to share the truth about Jesus.
